When we don’t know the outcome, uncertain about our images, or our technique, usually we are at our best, just being in the moment, simply photographing, not trying or complicating.
Randy Akers was my professor. Huge commercial director. Artist. It was a commercial storyboard class. I picked up a Nikon 35mm camera with flash from my friend. And had this idea of a commercial reflecting the population. A mosaic. Of faces. These are some of the first portraits I took. On the fly. On purpose. With a bristol board as my portable backdrop. I love faces. I love expression. Here became my love.
